Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi came in at No. 7 ($907,033) to pace the Big Ten, while Michigan defensive coordinator Greg Mattison was No. 10 ($888,333).

Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster topped the list ($1,369,500), $6,500 ahead of Alabama DC Kirby Smart.

The Big Ten had 10 assistants land in the top 50. Surprisingly, Big Ten champ Ohio State wasn’t represented until No. 33 (Luke Fickell; $600,000).
