The Big Ten office released its latest Big Ten Men's Basketball Players of the Week on Monday, and three players were honored. Northwestern's Drew Crawford and Penn State's D.J. Newbill shared Player of the Week, while Indiana's Noah Vonleh claimed Freshman of the Week. Read more in this post.

Co-Players of the Week: Drew Crawford, Northwestern, G/F, Sr.

  • Averaged 23.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in Northwestern?s road sweep over #14/13 Wisconsin and Minnesota
  • For the week, shot 66.7 percent (16-of-24) from the field and 55.6 percent (5-of-9) from three-point range
  • Against the Badgers, poured in a season-high 30 points on 10-of-15 shooting, pulled down eight rebounds, recorded one block and added one steal in 40 minutes
  • The Wildcats defeated Wisconsin at the Kohl Center for the first time in program history
  • Scored 17 points, corralled five rebounds and handed out three assists against Minnesota, helping the Wildcats secure three straight Big Ten road wins for the first time since 1960
  • Currently the only player in the Big Ten to rank in the top 10 of the conference in both scoring and rebounding
  • Earns his third career Big Ten Player of the Week honor, and first since the 2011-12 season
  • Last Northwestern Player of the Week: John Shurna (Feb. 6, 2012)

D.J. Newbill, Penn State, G, Jr.

  • Averaged 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in Penn State?s sweep over #24/23 Ohio State and Purdue
  • In the overtime road win over Ohio State, poured in 25 points on nine field goals, pulled down eight rebounds, dished out a pair of assists and recorded one block as the Nittany Lions posted their first Big Ten road win over a ranked opponent since 2009
  • With time winding down in regulation against the Buckeyes, hit the game-tying three-pointer to force overtime, and then converted the game-winning field goal with less than two seconds remaining in the extra session
  • Against Purdue, scored 19 points, including an 8-of-10 effort from the free throw line, corralled seven rebounds and handed out three assists
  • Currently ranks fifth in the Big Ten in scoring at 17.6 points per game and third in minutes played (35.1 mpg)
  • Earns his first career Big Ten Player of the Week honor

Freshman of the Week: Noah Vonleh, Indiana, F

  • Averaged 8.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 57.1 percent from the field in Indiana?s split against Nebraska and #10/14 Michigan
  • Against the Wolverines, posted his conference-leading ninth double-double of the season with 10 points (5-of-9) and 12 rebounds to go along with two blocks
  • Chipped in seven points on 3-of-5 shooting and corralled three rebounds at Nebraska
  • Currently leads the Big Ten in rebounding at 9.4 per game and is shooting a conference-best 75.0 percent (9-of-12) from three-point range during Big Ten play
  • Earns his seventh Freshman of the Week honor, tied for the second-most since the award began in 2010
