Northwestern came out on top in a tight contest Saturday afternoon against the Badgers, 54-52. The Wildcats trailed by as many as 10 points but staged a second-half comeback that included six ties before Northwestern took over for good (53-52) after freshman forward Maggie Lyon drained one of her three 3-pointers with 1:47 to play.
Illinois 73, Indiana 60: BOX | RECAP
Illinois sprinted out to a 10-3 lead just over three minutes into the game and ran away from Indiana for a 73-60 win in front of 3,088 fans at the Assembly Hall Saturday, the largest paid attendance of the season and second-best overall. Senior Karisma Penn posted 25 points, six rebounds and three steals, and four other Illini scored at least eight points as Illinois won its fourth-straight home game and improved to 16-10 overall and 9-5 in the Big Ten.
