Notre Dame's Everett Golson threw for 85 yards and ran for eight yards and one touchdown in the quarter, and the two teams are tied 7-7 at the end of the second. The Fighting Irish took the game's first lead after Golson scrambled for a three-yard touchdown run on the last play of a 10-play, 88-yard drive. Notre Dame used Golson's 41-yard pass to fuel the drive.

Purdue tied the game at seven after Robert Marve tossed a two-yard touchdown to Antavian Edison to end a 13-play, 58-yard drive.

The Boilermakers are set to receive to start the second half.
