Tuesday was a busy day on the Big Ten women's hoops hardwood, with seven teams in action. No. 20 Purdue won its second consecutive game following its upset loss at Central Michigan, knocking off Oakland 66-47, and the conference went 5-2 on the day. Purdue 66, Oakland 47 BOX | AP RECAP

(AP) Sam Ostarello had 16 points and 10 rebounds to help No. 20 Purdue defeat Oakland 66-47 on Tuesday afternoon. It was Ostarello's first double-double of the season and the second of her career. Courtney Moses scored 16 points and made four 3-pointers for the Boilermakers (9-3), who won their second straight since their upset loss at Central Michigan.

Pittsburgh 77, Indiana 72, OT BOX

In a hard fought battle in the opening game of the Caribbean Classic, Indiana fell in overtime to Pittsburgh, 77-72.  Jasmine McGhee led IU with 21 points as Aulani Sinclair finished with 16 and Simone Deloach added a career-high 12 to round out double-digit scorers for the Hoosiers.  Deloach also achieved her first career double-double with a career-best 11 rebounds. Ohio State 88, Southern Utah 50 BOX | AP RECAP

(AP) Tayler Hill scored 24 points to help No. 11 Ohio State overcome a sluggish start and beat Southern Utah 88-50 on Tuesday. The Buckeyes (12-0), playing for the third time in four days, trailed 15-13 with 12:12 left in the first half after a field goal by Southern Utah's Carli Moreland.

Michigan State 72, Colorado State 45 BOX

The Michigan State women?s basketball team opened the Caribbean Classic on Tuesday afternoon with a 72-45 win over Colorado State at the Moon Palace. The Spartans (8-4) had a balanced offensive attack this afternoon, with six players scoring at least eight points, and showed intensity on the defensive end, forcing 27 turnovers and holding the Rams to their season-low of 45 points. Dayton 80, Illinois 66 BOX

Illini women's basketball sophomore Amber Moore posted 17 points and finished 6-of-8 from the field, but it was not enough, as the Orange and Blue fell to Dayton, 80-66, Tuesday afternoon at the South Point Arena. With the loss, Illinois drops to 5-7 on the season, while Dayton improves to 6-3. Read the full recap at FightingIllini.com.

Northwestern 68, North Dakota State 55 BOX

Kendall Hackney turned in another outstanding effort, posting 27 points and seven rebounds, as Northwestern defeated North Dakota State in the final game of the BTI Invitational in Las Vegas. Morgan Jones and Karly Roser joined Hackney in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Wildcats finished the event with a 2-1 record to improve their overall mark to 10-2.
