BTN.com has a new staple every Saturday night. It?s called ?Marines: Leaders of the Week,? and it?s a feature designed to honor some of the top Big Ten performances. For Week 4, we?re focusing on the wide receivers. On this day, the Big Ten had several receivers tally multi-score days, and here's the impressive list:
Marvin McNutt, Iowa – McNutt was the biggest beneficiary of Iowa's new no-huddle offense Saturday. The senior hauled in seven passes for 100 yards and two scores as he continued his onslaught on the Iowa record book. The 100 yards marked the second consecutive week McNutt reached triple figures.
Derek Moye, Penn State – After not grabbing a touchdown pass in the season's first three games, Moye caught two scoring strikes Saturday against Eastern Michigan. The veteran receiver finished with six receptions for 65 yards, and both of his TD catches came from Matt McGloin, who once again split time with Rob Bolden.
Devin Smith, Ohio State – Smith and Braxton Miller have built a rapport, that's for sure. Smith caught a pair of scores Saturday from Miller, who was making his first career start. Smith's only other touchdown grab this year came from Miller in the season-opening win over Akron. For the day, Smith had three catches for 64 yards.
Nick Toon, Wisconsin – Toon was one of a handful of Badger offensive stars in Wisconsin's 59-10 victory over South Dakota, catching seven passes for a career-high 155 yards and two touchdowns.
