The Wildcats kept the ball on the ground during the drive, throwing only one pass.
Michigan State’s defense held tough in the third quarter, holding Eastern Michigan to 31 total yards of offense, and the Spartans have taken the lead 9-7. Michigan State’s front seven stepped up in the quarter, allowing the Eagles to gain just 17 rushing yards.
At the end of the second quarter, Nebraska holds a commanding 45-0 lead over Idaho State. The Cornhuskers’ Rex Burkhead ran for 30 yards and one touchdown in the quarter. Nebraska opened up the lead, 42-0, after Burkhead ran two yards to paydirt to end a five-play, 40-yard drive. The Cornhuskers started in good field position when Nebraska recovered a fumble.
