Semaj Christon scored 25 points to help lead Xavier to a 63-57 win over Purdue on Saturday. Terone Johnson had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Ronnie Johnson had 12 points for the Boilermakers (3-4), who missed all 17 of their 3-point attempts, leaving them scoreless from beyond the arc for the first time since 1992.
Jermaine Marshall scored 18 points and two other Penn State players scored in double figures in a 58-47 win over Pennsylvania 58-47 on Saturday.

Josh Crittle’s go-ahead basket with 53 seconds remaining helped UIC to a 50-44 upset of Northwestern on Saturday. Crittle finished with a team-high 13 points, and Gary Talton’s two free throws with 29 seconds left sealed the win for the Flames (6-1). The Wildcats committed 16 turnovers and were just 10 of 20 from the free-throw line.

Rodney Williams with 15 points and eight rebounds as No. 21 Minnesota topped North Florida 87-59 Saturday. Williams all but three of his points in the second half and Austin Hollins added 12 points for the Gophers (8-1), winners of four straight.
