Every week during the football season, Brent Yarina posts his latest Big Ten Power Rankings. Week 9 saw Nebraska hand Michigan State its first Big Ten defeat and Penn State remain unbeaten. As for the power rankings, they are not meant to mimic the Big Ten standings. What fun would that be? They aren’t scientific, either. They’re simply Brent’s thoughts on where each Big Ten team stands after its latest game and entering its next contest. Agree? Disagree? Tweet @BTNBrentYarina.

The votes are in, and our viewers selected Ohio State’s dramatic last-minute win over Wisconsin as our Big Ten Football Game of the Week. Catch the game at 8 p.m. ET tonight on BTN. If you missed the game under the lights Saturday, you won’t want to miss it again. The two teams combined for four touchdowns in the final 4:39, including the game-winning score with 20 ticks left (Watch and rate the play!). And just like last week, the Badgers lost on a late heave in agonizing fashion. This time, Braxton Miller was the one throwing the Hail Mary. Unlike last week, though, Wisconsin had one last chance to win it.
(AP) Braxton Miller threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Devin Smith with 20 seconds left to give Ohio State a 33-29 victory over No. 12 Wisconsin on Saturday night. It was almost exactly seven days earlier that the Badgers were beaten 37-31 at Michigan State on a miracle pass on the final play of the game. The latest heartbreak, just like that one, wasn’t confirmed until it passed a video review. The Badgers (7-2, 3-2) drove to the Ohio State 45 – and got an extra play after time elapsed due to a defensive facemask call – but linebacker Andrew Sweat hit quarterback Russell Wilson as he was throwing to end the game and touch off a wild celebration. (AP) Joe Paterno broke Eddie Robinson’s record for victories by a Division I coach with No. 409 in Penn State’s sloppy 10-7 win against Illinois on Saturday. The 21st-ranked Nittany Lions (8-1, 5-0 Big Ten) overcame six fumbles with Silas Redd‘s 3-yard touchdown run with 1:08 to go. Illinois (6-3, 2-3) drove the Penn State 25, but Derek Dimke‘s 42-yard field goal attempt bounced off the right upright as time expired. Redd had a career-high 30 carries for 137 yards for Penn State, none bigger than his late run set up after Illinois corner Justin Green was whistled for pass interference after breaking up a fourth-down pass for Derek Moye in the end zone.
