There are four schools that I think have legit shots to win the Big Ten as we enter the final five weeks of the season: Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State. (Yes, Wisconsin still has a shot, but I don’t think it can match the other four.)
Michigan women’s gymnastics is back. After missing last season’s NCAA Championships – this from a program that won 18 of the last 21 Big Ten Championships – Michigan has spent time this season atop the national poll. The beat goes on in the Big Ten as we enter the second half of the season with Indiana sitting atop the polls for a second time this season. Three teams have a chance to make a statement this week: Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Hoosiers will have their mettle tested by games at Illinois and at Ohio State.
Northwestern football will be back at Wrigley Field. On Tuesday, Northwestern and the Chicago Cubs announced a long-term partnership that includes five future football games in the Friendly Confines.

We are halfway through the Big Ten season, and the conference hasn’t disappointed. All of that preseason hype about being the top conference has proven to be true, with Indiana and Michigan already haven taken turns sitting atop the national polls.
No. 10 Ohio State won’t be the only team sporting a new look for Tuesday night’s rivalry game at No. 3 Michigan. On Monday, the Wolverines announced they will debut an adidas maize monochromatic uniform, in addition to some flashy maize shoes.
