Michigan State is one of the hottest programs in the Big Ten—if not the nation. And the Spartans can thank Mark Dantonio. Since arriving from Cincinnati to assume command in 2007, Dantonio has forged a 44-22 record in six seasons, including a 27-13 mark in the Big Ten. And each season, Michigan State has gone to a bowl, highlighted by a win over Georgia in the Outback Bowl after last season. Dantonio also beat rival Michigan for a fourth consecutive season in 2011, forever endearing him to Spartan fans.

Indiana just sent out news that the school will not sign a new contract to play Kentucky in men’s basketball next season since Kentucky insists the matchup be moved to off-campus sites. According to the release: “The latest two-game, home and home contract between the schools expired following the Wildcats visit in December to Bloomington. Subsequently, Kentucky has conditioned the continuation of the series on moving the games to Louisville and/or Indianapolis.” ESPN.com’s Basketball Nation Blog looked at this issue in a solid post earlier this week. But this gives us a really good excuse to post the video of Christian’s Watford’s game-winning shot again from this past season. You’re welcome, Hoosier fans.

One draft expert, ESPN’s Todd McShay, fell in love with Mike Martin before the 2012 NFL Draft. Apparently, the Tennessee Titans were fond of him, too. Tennessee selected the former Michigan defensive tackle in the third round of last week’s draft. Martin’s YouTube account, GoMikeMartin, chronicled the defensive tackle’s draft party, and it includes its share of raw emotion. Watch the video now and see more all-access draft videos in this post.
