It was a busy day of Big Ten men’s hoops Saturday, headlined by Indiana upsetting No. 1 Kentucky at the buzzer (recap). Get all the video, reaction, tweets and photos from the upset. In other action, Michigan State beat Gonzaga (recap), Purdue drilled Eastern Michigan (recap), No. 16 Wisconsin took down UNLV (recap), No. 19 Michigan held off Oakland (recap), Nebraska rallied past TCU (recap) and Minnesota topped St. Peter’s (recap), while No. 2 Ohio State lost at Kansas (recap) and Penn State fell at Duquesne (recap).

Dayne & Bielema Talk Ball for Heisman

Wisconsin running back Montee Ball finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting Saturday night in New York City. Baylor QB Robert Griffin III won the award, with 1,687 total points, followed by Stanford’s Andrew Luck (1,407), Alabama’s Trent Richardson (978), Ball (348) and LSU’s Tyrann Mathieu (327). Ball, who accounted for 2,071 total yards and 39 TDs, including his 25-yard scoring pass to Russell Wilson,  received 22 first-place votes, the fifth-most. Hoosiers Upset #1 Kentucky

In case you were busy preparing for the Heisman Trophy presentation or doing who knows what, Indiana upset No. 1 Kentucky on Saturday. Yes, Indiana, the same team that combined for two wins over ranked opponents the past three-plus seasons, upset the nation’s top-ranked team. But, as the Hoosiers’ 9-0 start would indicate, this isn’t the same Indiana team. For starters, they have the highly touted Cody Zeller in the fold, along with the most talent they’ve had since Tom Crean came to town. It’s no secret that Indiana’s Victor Oladipo is a human highlight-reel, and the high-flying sophomore proved it again Saturday against No. 1 Kentucky. Oladipo, who always knows how to excite the crowd with impressive dunks, did it all by himself versus the defensive-minded Wildcats. From behind the arc, Oladipo drove the lane, blew by a couple defenders and threw down a powerful one-handed jam, posterizing  Kentucky’s Darius Miller in the process. Watch the explosive dunk here. Hoosiers Upset #1 Kentucky

Down 72-70 to No. 1 Kentucky with 5.6 seconds left, Indiana had one last chance Saturday at Assembly Hall. Christian Watford inbounded to Verdell Jones, who drove the length of the court and kicked it back to a wide-open Watford for a potential game-winning 3-pointer. Watford, of course, drained the trey to give Indiana the big-time upset and send the Indiana faithful into an absolute frenzy. The fans stormed the court, making for one of the most memorable moments of the young season. Watch the entire play and celebration now.
