Braxton Miller scored on a 67-yard touchdown run, threw TD passes of 60 and 46 yards and produced his third straight 100-yard rushing game, helping No. 8 Ohio State escape with a 52-49 win at Indiana on Saturday night. The victory makes the Buckeyes (7-0, 3-0 Big Ten) the first ranked team with seven wins.
Ohio State picked up 168 yards in the ground game during the third quarter, and the Buckeyes now lead 38-27. Mitch Ewald split the uprights two times in the quarter for Indiana. The Hoosiers closed the gap to 24-17 when Ewald kicked a 21-yard field goal to put the finishing touches on a 71-yard drive. The key play on Indiana’s drive was Cameron Coffman’s 39-yard pass to Kofi Hughes.

Devin Smith caught a 60-yard touchdown pass and Bradley Roby recovered a blocked punt in the end zone, and the Buckeyes lead, 24-14, at halftime. Ohio State has scored 14 straight points. Smith’s touchdown grab ended a four-play, 77-yard drive.
No. 8 Ohio State picked up 92 yards in the ground game during the first quarter, and the Buckeyes lead 10-7 at the end of the first quarter. Ohio State took the game’s first lead after Corey Brown ran 12 yards to paydirt on the last play of a nine-play, 75-yard drive.
