During Saturday afternoon’s telecast of the Eastern Michigan-Purdue men’s hoops game, former Purdue standout and current NBA player Brian Cardinal joined the BTN telecast. Cardinal, who won the NBA championship with the Dallas Mavericks this past season, joined the guys to talk about his successful Purdue career, his future in the NBA and his recent role with his old school, among other things. After being named one of the five finalist or the 2011 Heisman Trophy earlier this week, Wisconsin running back Montee Ball won the Chicago Tribune’s Silver Football Awards as the best player in the Big Ten. He finished ahead of teammate Russel Wilson and Michigan State’s Kirk Cousins.
