It was the third victory for the Jayhawks (10-1) in little more than a year over the Buckeyes (9-2). Kansas won a 64-62 thriller in last year’s NCAA semifinals.

Derrick Nix had 25 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 20 Michigan State surged past Texas 67-56 Saturday afternoon. Nix was 7-for-10 from the field and 11-for-13 at the line, a major improvement for a 64.9-percent foul shooter.
Aaron White scored 20 points as Iowa throttled Coppin State 80-50 on Saturday afternoon at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes (11-2) have won six straight games for the first time in eight years.
Josh Huestis tied a career-high with 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Stanford came away with a wild 70-68 victory over Northwestern (8-4) on Friday. The Cardinal (8-4) built an 18-point lead in the first half. Later, Northwestern’s Tre Demps nailed a 3-pointer and scored in the lane to tie it at 61 with 6:34 remaining. He hit another 3 with 1:50 left to tie it at 67, but Stanford held on.
