Lots to digest after a tantalizing weekend of action. Front and center was the Penn State at Nebraska game. The Cornhuskers’ 32-23 triumph kept them in the driver’s seat to win the Legends Division. But Penn State denizens still are miffed that tight end Matt Lehman’s lunge across the end zone was ruled a fumble instead of what would have been a game-changing touchdown. Brandon Ubel had 17 of his 21 points in the second half Sunday as Nebraska opened the season with a 66-55 win over Southern in Tim Miles’ coaching debut with the Cornhuskers. Dylan Talley added 17 points and Ray Gallegos had 16 for Nebraska. Ubel also had 11 rebounds.
The top of the power rankings didn’t get shaken up, but Wisconsin made a move from No. 6 to No. 4 following its emphatic victory at Indiana that clinched the Leaders Division’s spot in the Big Ten championship game. Where do I have your Big Ten team ranked? Find out in this post.
