Wisconsin center Konz declares for NFL draft

Wisconsin junior center Peter Konz announced Tuesday that he will forgo his senior season and enter his name into the 2012 NFL Draft. A Rimington Trophy finalist this season, Konz started 31 games at center for Wisconsin over the last three years. This year he was named first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches’ Association and Pro Football Weekly. He was also a first-team All-Big Ten choice by the league’s media.

Did You See This? Penn State's Marshall

Indiana struggled to put away Penn State late in Sunday’s 88-82 decision. The Nittany Lions never gave up – even after star point guard Tim Frazier fouled out – and Jermaine Marshall was a big reason for that. The sophomore was driving and moving around constantly, and in the final minute he slammed home a powerful dunk, cutting the Indiana lead to four points. To make the dunk all the better, Marshall also posterized Indiana’s Matt Roth on the his way up. Watch Marshall’s slam now.

Jan. 8 Women's Hoops Roundup

Sunday featured a trio of Big Ten women’s basketball games, including a pair on BTN. In the first game, Northwestern held off Indiana, 69-61, for its first Big Ten win and Nebraska rallied past Iowa, 76-72, in the second one at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
