BTN/BTN2Go will air Penn State football coach Bill O’Brien’s press conference at 9 a.m. ET Monday. The coach, who went right out on the recruiting trail following the regular season, is addressing the media to close out the 2012 season.
There were a handful of Big Ten women’s basketball games Sunday, including No. 9 Penn State dropping Michigan State, 76-55, on BTN. Michigan also won, topping Iowa, to move to 13-2, the team’s best start in program history. Catch up on all of Sunday’s action in this post.

Earlier Saturday, BTN aired a clip of Michigan State’s Branden Dawson possibly throwing a punch at Purdue’s Travis Carroll during Saturday afternoon’s game. Since then, Michigan State has reviewed the tape from different angles, and said it doesn’t appear Dawson threw a punch. Watch our video of the play in question now.

While not quite to the level of J.R. Smith a few days ago, Illinois’ Joseph Bertrand went for a silly reverse alley-oop of his own in Saturday’s rout of Ohio State. Brandon Paul set up the highlight-reel play with a pass that he delivered from just inside the halfcourt line. Watch the reverse alley-oop here and see a great picture of it in this post.
Brandon Paul scored 19 points and No. 11 Illinois bounced back from a tough loss in its Big Ten opener to beat No. 8 Ohio State 74-55 on Saturday. The Illini (14-2, 1-1) led 37-25 at halftime and used a 13-2 run early in the second half to build a 50-27 lead.
Freshman Gary Harris scored a career-high 22 points, and No. 18 Michigan State used a 28-7 run in the second half to pull away for an 84-61 victory over Purdue on Saturday. The Spartans (12-3, 1-1 Big Ten) missed their first 10 shots from the field after halftime, but it didn’t much matter in what quickly became a free throw contest.
