Michigan State's Draymond Green

Did You See This? Michigan State's Green

Michigan State senior captain Draymond Green doesn’t do a lot of his work high above the rim. No, most of Green’s damage on the offensive end is done with jumpers and inside post moves. That wasn’t the case late in the first half of Michigan State’s game against Iowa on Tuesday night, however. With just under three minutes remaining before halftime, Green ran the floor and got high up to connect with Brandan Kearney on a terrific alley-oop. Watch the alley-oop now and be sure to check out Green’s face on the way back down the floor. AP: Michigan State

Jay Paterno

Jay Paterno will not be back at PSU

(AP) Jay Paterno is leaving Penn State’s coaching staff after spending 17 years as an assistant under his father, Hall of Fame coach Joe Paterno. The younger Paterno worked the last 12 seasons as the quarterbacks coach. His departure was expected after the school last week named New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien to succeed JoePa as head coach. “I wish the program the best of luck in carrying on the academic and athletic excellence that have been a hallmark of this university for decades,” Jay Paterno said in a statement. Wisconsin junior center Peter Konz announced Tuesday that he will forgo his senior season and enter his name into the 2012 NFL Draft. A Rimington Trophy finalist this season, Konz started 31 games at center for Wisconsin over the last three years. This year he was named first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches’ Association and Pro Football Weekly. Penn State's Jermaine Marshall

Did You See This? Penn State's Marshall

Indiana struggled to put away Penn State late in Sunday’s 88-82 decision. The Nittany Lions never gave up – even after star point guard Tim Frazier fouled out – and Jermaine Marshall was a big reason for that. The sophomore was driving and moving around constantly, and in the final minute he slammed home a powerful dunk, cutting the Indiana lead to four points. To make the dunk all the better, Marshall also posterized Indiana’s Matt Roth on the his way up. Watch Marshall’s slam now. AP: Indiana holds off Penn State
