Deshaun Thomas, playing perhaps his final home game for No. 14 Ohio State, scored 19 points Sunday to lead the Buckeyes to a 68-55 victory over Illinois, keeping alive their hopes of a Big Ten title tie. The victory put Ohio State (23-7, 13-5) in position to grab a share of the Big Ten title if No. 7 Michigan can win at home against No. 2 Indiana later on Sunday.

Traevon Jackson made a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer and finished with 15 points, and No. 22 Wisconsin survived an upset scare from Penn State with a 63-60 win Sunday in its regular-season finale. The Badgers (21-10, 12-6 Big Ten) went the length of the court with less than 4 seconds left. Jackson pulled up at the wing and made the 3 over the outstretched arm of Kevin Montminy.
Jasmine Thomas scored 14 of her 19 points in the second half and Michigan State used its stout defense to upset No. 8 Penn State 54-46 in the Big Ten tournament semifinals. Becca Mills added 16 points for the Spartans (24-7), who held Penn State to 22 percent shooting and enjoyed a 52-38 rebounding edge.
Sam Ostarello scored 18 points, Courtney Moses had 16 and Purdue beat No. 21 Nebraska 77-64 on Saturday to advance to the Big Ten tournament championship. KK Houser added 13 points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists for the Boilermakers (23-8), who also beat Nebraska 69-66 in overtime on Jan. 5.
Following Saturday afternoon’s 89-73 victory over Minnesota, Purdue held its Senior Day to honor Dru Anthrop and D.J. Byrd. Aaron White led a balanced effort with 19 points and Iowa beat Nebraska 74-60 in its regular-season finale on Saturday, finishing at .500 in the Big Ten for the first time in six years. Freshman Adam Woodbury added 12 points and Melsahn Basabe registered an 11-point, 13-rebound double-double for the Hawkeyes (20-11, 9-9), who clinched the No. 6 seed in next week’s Big Ten tournament.
