WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Today was all about Denard Robinson. That was good for Michigan. And that was bad for Purdue. You see, Robinson had something to prove on this day. The last time we saw the senior, he was throwing four interceptions and losing a fumble in an ugly 13-6 loss at Notre Dame that—truthfully—Michigan should have won.
Ohio State’s Carlos Hyde ran for 24 yards and scored his third touchdown of the game in the third quarter, and the Buckeyes lead 49-31. Nebraska has given up 14 straight points. The Cornhuskers made the score 35-31 after Taylor Martinez tossed a three-yard touchdown to Ben Cotton to finish off a 77-yard drive.
Braxton Miller threw for 72 yards and one touchdown and ran for 146 yards and one touchdown and the Buckeyes lead 35-24 at halftime. Ohio State racked up 72 passing yards and 171 rushing yards in the second quarter. The last 14 points have been scored by the Buckeyes.
No. 20 Nebraska racked up 121 rushing yards in the first, and the Cornhuskers lead 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. Nebraska’s defense shut down No. 12 Ohio State, allowing only 17 yards of offense in the quarter. The Cornhuskers have scored 14 unanswered points.
