Wednesday and Thursday brought some interesting results on the Big Ten hardwood. Let’s jump right in. After Michigan’s last road game, we opined that the Wolverines were fortunate to leave Minneapolis with a victory. As if to troll us, John Beilein’s team found an even luckier way to win a Big Ten road game, this time in Nebraska’s brand new Pinnacle Bank Arena.
When talking about the top men’s ice hockey goalies in the Big Ten this season, that conversation should start and end with Michigan State sophomore Jake Hildebrand. BTN.com caught up with Hildebrand before the Spartans much-anticipated matchup against Ohio State tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET on BTN/BTN2Go as part of our first Frozen Friday doubleheader of Big Ten Conference men’s hockey.
Michigan’s Derrick Walton Jr. hit the kind of shot on Thursday night that kids dream about when shooting hoops in their driveway growing up. The Wolverines’ freshman point guard took one dribble and heaved a half-court shot at the halftime buzzer, which swished through the basket and put the Wolverines up 33-30 over Nebraska heading into the half.

What was speculated is now official: Braxton Miller will return for his senior season. The school issued a statement tonight about Miller’s decision to return to Ohio State.
Glenn Robinson III scored a game-high 19 points as Michigan escaped Lincoln with a 71-70 win over Nebraska. With the victory, the Wolverines improved to 3-0 in Big Ten play this season.
