The University of Iowa women’s soccer team battled through regulation and into overtime Thursday night in Lincoln, but the efforts were not enough as the team fell to the Cornhuskers, 1-0. Iowa (11-4-2, 3-4-2) allowed a late goal with 1:04 remaining in the first overtime period. Watch now as Morgan Marlborough talks after she scored the winning goal during sudden death for Nebraska.
The Big Ten Conference announced today Michigan State’s William Gholston is suspended for one game after he violated Big Ten rule by “striking or attempting to strike or otherwise physically abusing an official, opposing coach, spectator or athlete.” The conference office also publicly reprimanded Gholston for his actions.

Wednesday was a busy night for Big Ten volleyball. Several of the conference’s top teams were in action including top-ranked Illinois who faced Northwestern. The Illini’s perfect season is still in tact following a straight set win over the Wildcats (25-19, 25-23, 25-19).
