Parrish Gaines‘ interception with 1:38 remaining sealed the win for the Midshipmen (4-3), who beat a Big Ten opponent for the first time since 1979 when they won at Illinois 13-12.

Michigan State held Michigan to 20 yards through the air during the third quarter and the Spartans have taken a 7-6 lead. Andrew Maxwell’s two-yard touchdown pass to Paul Lang finished off a 10-play, 80-yard drive and gave Michigan State the lead, 7-6.
Nebraska’s Kenny Bell caught a 37-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, but the margin is still four, as Northwestern leads the Huskers, 14-10. Trevor Siemian’s 27-yard touchdown pass to Tony Jones finished off an eight-play, 50-yard drive and gave Northwestern its halftime advantage.
Michigan stuffed the run, giving up just 10 yards on the ground in the second quarter and the Wolverines now lead 6-0. The Wolverines made their lead 6-0 when Matt Wile kicked a 48-yard field goal on the last play of a five-play, 39-yard drive.
