It’s official: That college hockey doubleheader called the Hockey City Classic at Chicago’s Soldier Field, featuring a game between Wisconsin and Minnesota, is set for February 17, 2013. Big Ten releases names to attend Kickoff Luncheon

On Wednesday afternoon, the Big Ten Conference released the list of student-athletes who will attend the 2012 Big Ten Media Days and Kickoff Luncheon on Thursday and Friday, July 26 and 27, at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. Three players from every team will be in attendance, as well as all 12 head coaches. See the complete list of players in this post.

Wisconsin offensive coordinator Matt Canada realizes the situation he’s stepping into in Madison. He’s taking over an attack that ranked No. 1 in the Big Ten in total offense (469.9 ypg), No. 1 in rushing (235.6 ypg) and No. 1 in scoring (44.1 ppg) last season under former coordinator Paul Chryst, who left to become head coach at Pitt following consecutive Rose Bowl trips in the 2010-11 seasons.
