Silas Redd makes it official, transfers to USC

Star tailback Silas Redd is bolting Penn State for Southern California. The 1,200-yard rusher opted Tuesday to leave a Nittany Lions program facing stiff sanctions handed down by the NCAA in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal. Among the penalties was a four-year postseason ban.

Northwestern: 10 reasons to be excited in 2012

Did You See This? Michigan Sugar Bowl ring

We’d seen Michigan’s 2012 Sugar Bowl rings online well before Big Ten Media Days last week in Chicago. And now we’ve seen them in-person. Take it from us, they are impressive – not to mention rather big. Michigan safety Jordan Kovacs proudly wore the ring on his right ring finger throughout the two-day event. Minnesota: 10 reasons to be excited in 2012
