Victor Oladipo took control for No. 8 Indiana in the opening minutes Sunday and never let go. The junior guard scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds and finished with six steals, leading the Hoosiers to a 75-70 victory over No. 11 Michigan State.

Iowa went into Ann Arbor and took down Michigan, 63-57, No. 8 Penn State moved to 7-0 in conference play with a 71-56 victory at Ohio State, and No. 13 Purdue topped Michigan State, 67-62, in overtime. You’ve heard of Happy Valley. Wait until you see Hockey Valley. Penn State’s new hockey home, Pegula Ice Arena, is a sight to behold. The new facility, which will open for the 2014 season, included an $80 million construction fee, and it’s pretty easy to see where all the money went. Taylor Holstrom netted the game-winning goal with 4:01 left in regulation as Penn State erased a 2-0 deficit in a 3-2 victory over Michigan State at Munn Ice Arena on Saturday night. The Nittany Lions, who won for the first time when trailing after the opening stanza, improved to 10-13-0, while the Spartans fell to 7-16-3. No. 4 Iowa outscored No. 3 Minnesota, 41-33, in match points to defeat the Gophers, 16-15, Saturday at Williams Arena. The two teams were tied at 15 after splitting the first 10 bouts, but the Hawkeyes earned the deciding team point based on the advantage in match points — the third tiebreak criteria.
