An unprecedented seven Big Ten teams entered last weekend with dreams of reaching the Final Four. After the last whistle Saturday night, two still remained, as Penn State and Wisconsin advanced to Seattle for the national semifinals.
Michigan State junior Branden Dawson is a high-flyer. We’ve known it for a few seasons, but a knee injury late in his freshman campaign has limited his opportunities to show off his athleticism. The Associated Press released its 2013 AP All-America Team on Tuesday, and the Big Ten was well-represented. Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier and Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard, both first-teamers, led a Big Ten contingent of 15 players.
