The Associated Press released its preseason All-America team Monday, and three Big Ten players made the list. Indiana’s Cody Zeller was the leading vote-getter, garnering 64 of 65 votes, while Ohio State’s Deshaun Thomas and Michigan’s Trey Burke join Creighton’s Doug McDermott, Murray State’s Isaiah Canaan and Lehigh’s C.J. McCollum on the prestigious team.
It’s Monday in late October, and I find myself typing about Indiana’s possibilities to win the Leaders Division and go to the Big Ten title game. Really. Before we turn our attention to Week 10, we need to review how BTN.com fans, Tom Dienhart and yours truly did with our Week 9 predictions. It was a rough week for all involved, as BTN.com fans led the way with a 3-3 record. As a result, BTN.com fans tied Dienhart for the top spot in the season standings, at 54-20. I sit three games behind the pace.

No. 4 Nebraska took down No. 1 Penn State in a five-set thriller (12-25, 32-30, 19-25, 25-23, 15-10) Sunday afternoon at the Coliseum. In front of a roaring 4,193 in attendance, Nebraska produced its third five-set win of the season. Gina Mancuso led Nebraska on the day with 16 kills and 17 digs, while Hannah Werth notched 11 kills and a career-high 27 digs.
