It wasn’t pretty, but Michigan held off Akron for a 28-24 win at The Big House on Saturday. It took a come-from-behind win against a team that hasn’t beaten an FBS opponent since 2010 for the Wolverines to extend their FBS-high 17-game home win streak.
UCLA made it look easy. Too easy. And that’s not a good thing for Nebraska. This was supposed to be the Cornhuskers’ chance to show the world that the 2013 team was different from last year’s squad.
It was all Ohio State on Saturday night at Cal. Kenny Guiton went for career highs in passing yards (276), passing touchdowns (4) and rushing yards (92), Jordan Hall set personal records in rushing yards (168), touchdowns (3) and receptions (5), and Devin Smith went for a career-high 149 receiving yards. Kenny Guiton has made a name for himself as a reliable backup. Saturday night at Cal, we’ll see how the veteran sub does as the starter. Guiton will get his first career start in place of star Braxton Miller, who injured his knee last week vs. San Diego State.
