Unbeaten Michigan rolls past C. Michigan

Trey Burke scored 22 points to lift No. 2 Michigan to an 88-73 win over Central Michigan on Saturday. Burke contributed 11 assists, shot 9-of-12 from the field, and shot 4-of-7 from long range. Nik Stauskas contributed 19 points, corralled seven rebounds, knocked down 6-of-10 shot attempts, and drilled 5-of-8 three-pointers. Tim Hardaway Jr. did not play tonight against Central Michigan and sat out with a right ankle injury. That snaps Hardaway’s streak of 81 straight starts at Michigan. Stauskas shows off three-point shooting skills

During Saturday night’s basketball game between Michigan and Central Michigan on BTN, we aired a short look at a video from Michigan freshman sharpshooter Nik Stauskas during a timeout. Posted earlier this week on YouTube, the entire video was shot in the backyard of Stauskas’ home in Canada over the holiday break. It shows the Big Ten’s top three-point shooter in the nation nailing 45 of 50 attempts on his own hoop. Read more on that story here from And here’s the full video from YouTube. Did You See This? Jim Jackson vs. Aaron Craft

During Saturday’s Ohio State game against Chicago State on BTN, our crew showed a little video that captured BTN analyst and former Buckeye player Jim Jackson and current Buckeyes guard Aaron Craft trying the same trick shot. Both men missed their first attempt but they each make their second and it’s an impressive angle. “I let him get his confidence,” Jackson said of his approach to the competition with Craft, “and I took his cookies right away from him.” Later in the game, Jackson and BTN announcer Eric Collins discussed all of the great players were had jerseys hanging in the rafters at Ohio State.
