2nd quarter recap: Northwestern 14, Nebraska 10

Nebraska’s Kenny Bell caught a 37-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, but the margin is still four, as Northwestern leads the Huskers, 14-10. Trevor Siemian’s 27-yard touchdown pass to Tony Jones finished off an eight-play, 50-yard drive and gave Northwestern its halftime advantage.

Michigan stuffed the run, giving up just 10 yards on the ground in the second quarter and the Wolverines now lead 6-0. Michigan struck first when Brendan Gibbons drilled a 24-yard field goal, the final play of an 11-play, 77-yard drive. The Wolverines made their lead 6-0 when Matt Wile kicked a 48-yard field goal on the last play of a five-play, 39-yard drive.

Miller goes down, Guiton sends OSU past Purdue in OT

Kenny Guiton came off the bench in relief of injured star quarterback Braxton Miller to lead touchdown drives in the final minute of regulation and in overtime, with Carlos Hyde scoring on a 1-yard run to clinch No. 7 Ohio State’s 29-22 victory over Purdue on Saturday.
