January 15 is the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft. And, the Big Ten isn’t taking too many big hits, which would seem to bode well for the conference in 2014. Just four players have declared: Indiana WR Cody Latimer; Penn State WR Allen Robinson; Ohio State CB Bradley Roby; Ohio State LB Ryan Shazier.
Much has been made about Max Bullough’s decision to decline to address his Rose Bowl suspension at practices leading up to Saturday’s East-West Shrine Game. Bullough didn’t address the issue with media Monday or Tuesday in St. Petersburg, Fla., but our analysts recommend the Michigan State linebacker talk soon. Watch the report in this post.
Big win last night for Indiana over unbeaten Wisconsin. BIG win. This was the signature victory that had been lacking from the Hoosiers’ resume. It’s also a victory that may spark Indiana in what thus far has been a lackluster season. How big was the win for IU fans? They rushed the court. Seemed a bit excessive, but, what the heck.
How do fans celebrate their team snapping a 12-game losing streak to a rival and sending said opponent to its first loss of the season? The answer for Indiana fans Tuesday vs. Wisconsin was by storming the court. Kind of. After Indiana held off No. 3 Wisconsin, which entered the game 16-0, the fans didn’t seem to know what to do. The result was a half-hearted court storming.
Glenn Robinson III in the open floor is a wonderful thing to watch. It’s even better when he’s in the open floor and one of his Michigan teammates lobs an alley-oop his way. That was the case in Tuesday night’s 80-67 win vs. Penn State, and Robinson III didn’t disappoint at all on the transition alley-oop. Watch the highlight and another one of his dunks in this post.
