No. 2 seed Ohio State topped No. 5 seed Illinois, 2-1, to win the program’s third Big Ten Tournament title Sunday afternoon at Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Ind. With the victory, Ohio State (16-4-1) tied the 2004 team for the longest win streak in program history at nine.

Penn State defends Big Ten field hockey tourney crown

The No. 1 seeded Penn State field hockey team claimed its second consecutive Big Ten Tournament Championships on Sunday afternoon with the 2-0 defeat of No. 3 seed Michigan. It is the sixth Championship Title for the Nittany Lions (17-3, 5-1 Big Ten), more than any other school in the history of the Big Ten. The Lions earn the Big Ten’s automatic berth to the NCAA Championship Tournament.

Latimer's 3 TD catches help Indiana nip Iowa, 24-21

Cameron Coffman threw for 315 yards on 21 of 33 passing and three touchdowns to lead Indiana on Saturday to a 24-21 win over Big Ten foe Iowa. Cody Latimer, who had 113 yards on seven receptions for Indiana (4-5, 2-3 Big Ten), caught all three of Coffman’s touchdown passes. James Vandenberg was 21 of 34 for 249 yards passing and a touchdown for Iowa (4-5, 2-3).
