No. 20 Michigan and No. 13 Michigan State both shot lights out in the Wolverines’ big rivalry win Sunday afternoon, so it was kind of fitting that the lights went out on Tom Izzo during his postgame press conference. Is there a more exciting team to watch in the Big Ten than the Indiana Hoosiers? While inconsistent, they like to play above the rim and are no strangers to highlight plays. Fans were treated to a flurry of dunks in the first half Saturday night, three of which came from high-flying freshman forward Troy Williams.
It was all Sam Thompson and No. 24 Ohio State in the second half of Saturday night’s win over Minnesota. Down 10 at halftime, the Buckeyes erupted for 46 points in the second half to run away with a 64-46 home win. How good was Thompson? When talking about the Big Ten’s most consistent football programs, Ohio State is one school that certainly comes to mind. The Buckeyes have won 10-or-more games in nine of their past 12 seasons (went 12-1 in 2010 season, but wins were vacated), including six Big Ten Championships.
