Minnesota reverted back to what it knows best Saturday against Nebraska – running the football. The Golden Gophers tallied 271 rushing yards in their 34-23 win over the Cornhuskers, their most in Big Ten play this season and most against a conference opponent since recording 327 yards against Michigan State in 2005.
This was a program-defining win for Minnesota under Jerry Kill’s watch. But really, it was much more than that. The Golden Gophers’ 34-23 upset victory over No. 24 Nebraska was a testament to the foundation that Kill has laid since arriving in the Twin Cities in 2011. It also embodied the toughness Kill possesses as a coach and in his fight to control his epilepsy.

Ohio State will wear its Nike “Rivalry” uniform Saturday night for the second time in its last three home games. This time, though, the Buckeyes will rock pink accents to promote breast cancer awareness. In other words, Ohio State will have pink gloves and pink socks.
