Read Thursday's 10 Big Ten headlines

The amazing story of Nebrasketball continues, as the Cornhuskers rolled into Indiana last night and won. Ho-hum, right? We’ve come to expect this, right? That gave Nebraska a sweep of the season series with the Hoosiers. (More proof that if you live long enough, you WILL see everything.) This is just bizarro. But it’s also fun as heck. Someone call Hollywood. Wisconsin remained on fire last night, pushing its winning streak to eight games with a victory over visiting Purdue. There is no team hotter than the Badgers. And there may be no player hotter than Frank Kaminsky. I just

Will Sheehey

Video: Will Sheehey makes short, sweet Senior Night speech

The star player of Indiana’s senior class usually has so many people to thank and so many great memories to share during the team’s annual Senior Night ceremony. On Wednesday night, Sheehey, the star of Indiana’s 2014 senior class, spoke for 56 seconds. One longtime Indiana scribe thinks it might have been the shortest such speech. Either way, Sheehey made the most of the 56 seconds and left with a bang. Here’s how Sheehey ended it: “I’m the luckiest guy in the world, because I have the best teammates in the world, I have the best coaches in the world,

Video: Relive Will Sheehey's top Indiana moments

Will Sheehey was part of the recruiting class that helped make Indiana relevant again. Sheehey, out of Florida, arrived at Indiana with future 2013 NBA Draft pick Victor Oladipo. The Hoosiers struggled in his first season, racking up a 12-20 record, but they have gone 69-26 since. For that, plus his inspired play along the way, Sheehey will garner plenty of love during tonight’s Senior Night festivities. Watch the ceremony on BTN2Go. With Sheehey – in addition to Evan Gordon, Jeff Howard and Taylor Wayer – playing his final regular-season game at Assembly Hall tonight, I’ve compiled a collection of

Xavier builds Snowman Batter before Indiana game

Step outside, and the last thing it feels like is baseball season. Still, the games are scheduled and must go on. That being the case, players and fans might as well find ways to make the most of the unfavorable conditions. That’s exactly what Xavier did prior to Wednesday afternoon’s game at Indiana. While the grounds crew cleared snow off the field, the Musketeers made a Snowman Batter in the bullpen. Not only did the snowman serve a purpose, to represent a batter as starter Trent Astle warmed up, it looked the part, decked out in a jersey. The only

Before Brust is honored during the pregame festivities, which you can watch on BTN2Go, I have compiled some of his top moments. Enjoy, Badgers fans! Big Ten: average or great? We soon will find out

It seems every radio show I am on, I’m asked this question: Is the Big Ten the best league in America? Or, it is an average league with a lot of good teams? It’s a good question, and one that we soon will find out. The conference doesn’t appear to have an elite team. Michigan State was the closest thing to that template when the season dawned, but injuries have proven ruinous for the Spartans. Wisconsin has the fewest overall losses of any team with just five. But all five defeats have come in Big Ten play. Even worse, the
