Turns out, Philip Nelson is going to stay in the Big Ten. News has broken that the disgruntled Minnesota quarterback is transferring to Rutgers, which officially will join the Big Ten for the 2014 football season. He’ll sit out next season and have two years of eligibility beginning in 2015.

Keith Appling did it in Tuesday night’s overtime win at Iowa, and the no-call didn’t sit well with Iowa fans or Fran McCaffery; in fact, McCaffery was hit with a technical foul. ESPN commentator Jay Bilas said this about the play: “It’s hard to believe, but I think that would have been a walk in the NBA.”
