(AP) Shavon Shields scored 18 points and Terran Petteway had 13 of his 18 in the second half to lead Nebraska to a 68-62 upset of No. 17 Ohio State on Monday night, the Buckeyes’ fourth straight loss. The Cornhuskers (9-8, 1-5 Big Ten), who ended a five-game losing streak, survived after squandering a 14-point first-half lead. They used a 16-5 run late in the second half to regain control and off the Buckeyes (15-4, 2-4).

With it being Martin Luther King Day, #BTNLive honored the civil rights pioneer throughout Monday night’s show. We had interviews with Ohio State AD Gene Smith, the lone African American at his level in the Big Ten, Penn State women’s basketball coach Coquese Washington and Ohio State guard Shannon Scott and his father, Charlie. We also had a segment with Stephen Bardo and Jim Jackson discussing MLK.
Fresh off its win at Ohio State and vs. Minnesota, Iowa moved up to No. 10 in the latest AP Poll, released Monday. Michigan State rose one spot, to No. 3, while Wisconsin, the previous No. 3, dropped to No. 9 after back-to-back losses.
