The final week of the regular season is upon us and there is still a lot is on the line. Nebraska needs a win at Iowa to clinch the Legends Division crown on Friday. On Saturday, Ohio State is trying to punctuate a 12-0 season with a triumph over Michigan. How sweet would that be for Buckeye fans? Of course, the Wolverines would love to trash that Buckeye dream and win the Legends, and they can do just that with a victory over Ohio State and loss by Nebraska.

Montee Ball ran for a career-high 247 yards and scored three touchdowns to help Wisconsin beat Purdue 38-14 on Saturday afternoon. James White added 124 yards rushing for the Badgers (5-2, 2-1 Big Ten), who outgained Purdue 645 yards to 252. The Badgers pounded out 467 yards rushing in the rain.

Wisconsin running back Montee Ball broke the Big Ten record for most career touchdowns Saturday at Purdue. Ball broke the record, previously held by former Wisconsin standout Ron Dayne, on his third touchdown run of the game. It came on three-yard run, his shortest scoring scamper of the day. The senior tied Dayne’s record on a career-long 67-yard run. Watch the record-breaking run here and see him tie the record in this post.

Wisconsin gained 113 yards on the ground in the third, and the Badgers now lead 24-7. Wisconsin stifled Purdue’s offense, giving up just -6 total yards in the quarter. The Badgers have scored 24 unanswered points.

Wisconsin scored 10 points in the quarter, and the Badgers now lead 17-7. Wisconsin racked up 110 passing yards and 111 rushing yards in the quarter. The Badgers had four long plays in the quarter, including Montee Ball’s 20-yard run. Wisconsin has scored the last 17 points.

Wisconsin’s Jacob Pedersen caught a 21-yard touchdown pass in the quarter, and the two teams are tied 7-7 at the end of the first. Purdue scored when Caleb TerBush turned a quarterback sneak into a one-yard touchdown run to finish off a two-play, 53-yard drive, giving the Boilermakers the game’s first lead. Purdue’s drive was highlighted by TerBush’s 52-yard pass.

The Wisconsin offense has had its ups and downs this season. It’s no secret. Wideout Jared Abbrederis knows it. But the unit may be coming to life after a solid effort in a 31-14 victory vs. Illinois last week that saw the Badgers notch 427 yards.
