Video: Nik Stauskas answers Illini fans' 'U-S-A!' chants

It’s become common for Big Ten fans to shower Nik Stauskas with “U-S-A!” chants. The Canada native takes it all in stride, and in Tuesday night’s 84-53 Big Ten-clinching win at Illinois, he silenced said chants with a deep buzzer-beating 3-pointer in the first half. It amazed everyone, including the fans and the broadcast crew. Watch the whole sequence in this post.

Yarina: Michigan's top moments on way to B1G crown

Michigan claimed its first outright Big Ten title since 1986 in Tuesday night’s 84-53 victory at Illinois. The Wolverines, who won a share of the 2012 crown, have now been on top of the Big Ten in two of the last three seasons. Nik Stauskas, Derrick Walton Jr. win weekly Big Ten honors

The Big Ten announced its latest weekly men’s basketball honors Monday morning, and a pair of Michigan players swept the awards. Star Nik Stauskas took Player of the Week and Derrick Walton Jr. claimed Freshman of the Week, this after the duo helped the Wolverines beat No. 10 Iowa and No. 3 Michigan State to stay perfect in Big Ten play.

Video: Nik Stauskas blows kiss to Spartans fans

Nik Stauskas and Michigan had plenty of reasons to celebrate following their rivalry win at No. 3 Michigan State on Saturday night. Not only did the decision hand Michigan State its first loss and give Michigan sole possession of first place, it marked the team’s third consecutive win over a top 10 team, with two of the wins coming on the road. So, how did Stauskas celebrate? By blowing a kiss to the Breslin Center crowd after the final buzzer.
