In one of the features we look deeper into the Zero Waste at Ohio Stadium program. The goal is for the legendary Horseshoe to control waste on game days and other events as much as possible, and it’s having remarkable success. Ohio Stadium is the largest stadium in the country to achieve zero waste (diverting at least 90 percent of waste from a landfill by recycling or composting). BTN LiveBIG: Russell Wilson impacting communities

Russell Wilson is one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL, a dynamo on the ground and through the air. This weekend, he will lead the Seahawks against Seattle’s , the rival San Francisco 49ers, with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line. But there’s something beyond a shot at a Lombardi Trophy that motivates Wilson. In 2012, Wilson founded the Russell Wilson Passing Academy, designated as a football camp for children ages 9-17 who play all positions on the football field. The Cincinnati native’s goal in starting the program goes further than just teaching the fundamentals of

BTN LiveBIG: MSU keeping feet warm in Lansing

Look down at your feet. Are you wearing socks? Well, imagine what it would be like if you didn’t have access to any – none. That’s the cold reality for some of the parents and children who arrive at the City Rescue Mission of Lansing, Mich., when domestic or financial troubles force them to seek a safe place. Thanks to the Socks For Lansing campaign, many needing something as basic as a pair of socks will have warmer feet in 2014. Sarah Garner, after taking a break from her computer one late September day, saw the local shelter, and with
