It’s no secret that Indiana’s Victor Oladipo is a human highlight-reel, and the high-flying sophomore proved it again Saturday against No. 1 Kentucky. Oladipo, who always knows how to excite the crowd with impressive dunks, did it all by himself versus the defensive-minded Wildcats. From behind the arc, Oladipo drove the lane, blew by a couple defenders and threw down a powerful one-handed jam, posterizing Kentucky’s Darius Miller in the process. Watch the explosive dunk here. In a word, wow!
Down 72-70 to No. 1 Kentucky with 5.6 seconds left, Indiana had one last chance Saturday at Assembly Hall. Christian Watford inbounded to Verdell Jones, who drove the length of the court and kicked it back to a wide-open Watford for a potential game-winning 3-pointer. Watford, of course, drained the trey to give Indiana the big-time upset and send the Indiana faithful into an absolute frenzy. The fans stormed the court, making for one of the most memorable moments of the young season. Watch the entire play and celebration now.
