The final week of the regular season is upon us and there is still a lot is on the line. Nebraska needs a win at Iowa to clinch the Legends Division crown on Friday. On Saturday, Ohio State is trying to punctuate a 12-0 season with a triumph over Michigan. How sweet would that be for Buckeye fans? Of course, the Wolverines would love to trash that Buckeye dream and win the Legends, and they can do just that with a victory over Ohio State and loss by Nebraska. Purdue and Michigan State need wins to become bowl eligible. And Wisconsin […]

Wisconsin’s game at Indiana in some ways will be a de facto Leaders Division championship game. Meanwhile, Northwestern plays at Michigan in a “Survivor” contest in the Legends Division. Read about those games and more in my weekly game rankings and previews.
There are plenty of storylines for this weekend’s batch of games, including a very intriguing game for Nebraska in Columbus. Does Ohio State stay perfect? Is this the weekend when Northwestern and Purdue win over a doubting sports press corps? What’s in store for Illinois when they kick off in Madison? I preview all five Big Ten games in this post. As for this Saturday, I’m headed to watch Purdue take on Michigan (noon ET, BTN/BTN2Go). Follow me on Twitter @BTNTomDienhart and be sure to bookmark any of these links and get in-game updates on Saturday: Illinois at Wisconsin, Michigan […]

Earlier this week I helped take a look at who might land in the 2012 Big Ten Football Championship game. Well, the road to that big game starts Saturday as Big Ten teams put a rocky non-conference run behind them and focus on pounding on each other. In this post, I take a close look at all six games, and then I’m headed to East Lansing to cover Ohio State and Michigan State on Saturday. Also, every Saturday BTN.com editors provide Rapid Recaps with quarterly updates from every game topped off with my Saturday Snap Reactions. Get those quarterly updates […]
