The Illinois baseball team will wear special stars and stripes jerseys vs. Northwestern on Sunday, April 28, as part of the second annual “Honor and Serve Day” at Illinois Field. According to the FightingIllini.com release, the event is designed to honor University of Illinois student veterans and all of America’s heroes, and to serve the Champaign-Urbana community.

It’s been a tough season for Michigan basketball jerseys. In mid-January, Trey Burke and Jordan Morgan’s jerseys ripped at Minnesota, causing the Wolverines to wear last year’s road uni the rest of the season. Another Michigan jersey met its demise in Saturday’s NCAA tourney victory over VCU. This time, it was Glenn Robinson III’s home jersey.

Turns out, a Big Ten team will wear the new adidas camouflage (Zubaz?) uniform this postseason. Michigan tweeted a photo of the team’s uniform for Friday’s quarterfinal game vs. Wisconsin, and it’s the school’s version of what Cincinnati and Notre Dame, among others, have worn this week. Nebraska will close down the Devaney Center – basketball-wise, at least – against Minnesota at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday on BTN/BTN2Go. And to celebrate the occasion, the Huskers will wear the uniform the program wore when the area opened in 1976-77. There are plenty of other festivities planned for Wednesday, too, including Senior Night.

Get your sunglasses ready, Big Ten basketball fans. Michigan will rock its neon yellow/highlighter adidas “Bleed Out” uniform Sunday vs. Michigan State. The Wolverines debuted the new uniform last month in an overtime victory over rival Ohio State, and the reviews weren’t exactly glowing.

When adidas, the official outfitter of the NBA, recently put the Golden State Warriors in a short-sleeve jersey, one knew it was only a matter of time before the company brought the design to the college game. According to SportsBusinessDaily.com, that time is the NCAA tournament.

No Big Ten basketball player sports more hairdos than Mike Bruesewitz. The Wisconsin red head has rocked this look, this look, this look and this look, among others. It’s Social Media Night for Wednesday’s No. 17 Wisconsin-Northwestern game at Welsh-Ryan Arena. In honor of the night, the game ball will include Northwestern’s hash tag of choice, #B1GCATS, the scoreboard will read “#B1GCATS” and “#BADGERS,” and each Wildcat will have his personal Twitter account on the back of his shooting shirt.

The team did so in last year’s lone Big Ten tourney game, and it will do so again when it hosts Michigan State at 8 p.m. ET Saturday on BTN/BTN2Go. Indiana fans will love what AD Fred Glass told reporters Wednesday. According to Inside the Hall’s Justin Albers, Glass said it’s “highly unlikely” Indiana will ever wear any adidas alternate uniform. Adidas, of course, has put Michigan, Nebraska and Wisconsin in its new “bleed out” uniform, the design the company introduced during the NBA marathon on Christmas Day.

Wisconsin unveiled its Hockey City Classic uniform early last month. On Tuesday night, it was Minnesota’s turn. From an aesthetic perspective, it’s clear, the Badgers and Gophers will delight in their respective throwbacks Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago.
