BTN Announces 2012 Women's Volleyball Coverage

CHICAGO – BTN will televise more volleyball this season than ever before, with at least 50 matches set to air on BTN.  The season begins with defending Big Ten Champion Nebraska hosting 2011 National Champion UCLA and Stanford at Penn State in the season’s first two weeks. The games will also be available at BTN2Go. CHICAGO – BTN today revealed its game broadcast teams and studio talent for the 2012 football season. The network’s football schedule will feature more than 40 games, extensive pre-game, halftime and post-game coverage on Saturdays and football-themed studio shows every weeknight. BTN Names Jim Reeder Vice President, Ad Sales

CHICAGO – BTN has named Jim Reeder as its Vice President, Ad Sales. In his new role, Reeder is responsible for providing oversight and strategic direction for the entire BTN sales team. Reeder comes to the network after serving as a Sales Account Executive for Fox Networks, where he sold Fox Sports Net, Fox College Sports, Fox Soccer, FUEL TV, and SPEED. Fifth Annual BTN Awards Show to Air at 7:30 p.m. ET Monday

CHICAGO – BTN will recognize the best of Big Ten sports in 2011–2012 with the fifth annual BTN Awards show at 7:30 p.m. ET Monday. Dave Revsine, Mike Hall and Rick Pizzo will host the one-hour show. The announcement of two prestigious Big Ten Conference awards, the Suzy Favor Award, for the best female student-athlete, and the Jesse Owens Award, for the best male student-athlete, will highlight the evening’s festivities. Keith Nichol's Long Road Home

With no time left on the clock, Michigan State’s quarterback Kirk Cousins threw a Hail Mary to the end zone that bounced off of B.J. Cunningham’s helmet into the hands of wide receiver Keith Nichol, who drives to the end zone to give Michigan State the win over previously undefeated Wisconsin. Big Ten Fall Championships to Air on BTN in November

CHICAGO – BTN will once again provide coverage of five Big Ten fall championships, including live broadcasts during the 2011 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament, Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Soccer Tournaments and delayed coverage of the Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships. BTN will televise live the semifinals and final of the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament at Penn State.  Live coverage of the semifinal round will begin at 10 AM ET with the second game to follow at approximately noon ET on Friday, Nov. 4. Gus Johnson to Call Nearly 30 Games on BTN

CHICAGO – America’s favorite play-by-play announcer, Gus Johnson, returns for his fourth basketball season on BTN.  Johnson is scheduled to call nearly 30 men’s basketball games this season, including the network’s four Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament games, plus bitter rivalries like Indiana-Purdue and marquee matchups such as Butler-Indiana.
