CHICAGO – BTN will provide extensive coverage of the 2013 Big Ten volleyball season, with more than 70 matches set to air on BTN, BTN2Go and the Big Ten Digital Network (BTDN). BTN’s volleyball lineup will feature a match on most Wednesday and Friday evenings through the beginning of November. All games will also be available on BTN2Go. CHICAGO – The 2013 Big Ten Football season is right around the corner, which means it’s time to jump on the BTN bus and head out on the Big Ten Football Preview Tour. For the seventh straight year, Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith will cruise through Big Ten country to bring fans a 30-minute, on-site preview show from every Big Ten campus on the Big Ten Football Preview Tour, presented by Culligan. CHICAGO – BTN announced Wednesday that BTN2Go, the network’s website and smartphone/tablet app featuring 24/7 live streaming, is the first TV Everywhere service of an ad-supported network available to virtually its entire viewer base. The BTN Big 10K and 5K run/walk just got super-sized. More than 12,000 runners have already signed up for the second-annual event, more than double the amount of runners who participated last year. The race is set for Saturday, July 27, and will be televised on BTN at 8 p.m. ET that night. Due to high demand, the race course has been revised to create a better experience for runners. BTN will recognize the best of Big Ten sports in 2012-2013 with the sixth annual BTN Awards Show at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Mike Hall will host the half-hour show. The announcement of two prestigious Big Ten Conference awards for the best female student-athlete and the best male student-athlete will highlight the evening’s festivities. The show also will feature interviews with selected award winners, both coaches and players. Nominees for Men’s Coach of the Year are Michigan Basketball’s John Beilein, Penn State Football’s Bill O’Brien, Indiana Soccer’s Todd Yeagley, Indiana Baseball’s Tracy Smith, and Penn State Wrestling’s Cael Sanderson.
CHICAGO – For the fifth straight year, BTN will televise live every game of the Big Ten Baseball Tournament. Coverage begins Wednesday and continues until Saturday, with a game on Sunday if necessary. The entire tournament will take place at Target Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Minnesota Twins. Purdue won the tournament title last year, earning the Big Ten’s automatic bid to the NCAA Baseball Championship. BTN will televise 12 primetime games during the 2013 college football season, the most in network history. Five games feature a pre-season top-25 Big Ten team, while three of the 12 matchups feature games versus teams from the SEC, ACC and Pac-12 conferences. CHICAGO – The Big Ten Network is the home for complete coverage of Big Ten spring championships in May, televising events in the sports of baseball, softball, men’s and women’s golf, rowing, men’s and women’s tennis and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field. In all, BTN will televise more than 50 hours of coverage, including the entire Big Ten Baseball Tournament. Broadcast coverage of the Big Ten’s spring championships begins at 6 PM ET on Monday, May 6, with the Big Ten Women’s Tennis Tournament from Indiana, followed by the Big Ten Men’s Tennis Tournament at 7 p.m. ET
