Prior to Saturday’s 2012 Big Ten Football Championship Game, the conference hosted its second annual Big Ten Fan Fest at the Indiana Convention Center. There, “#BTNLive” hosted a live show that included interviews with Nebraska legend Tommie Frazier and Michigan’s Taylor Lewan, the 2012 Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year, among others. Like last year, the event also featured tons of fan entertainment. See photos of the event in this gallery.

Our documentary-style show ‘The Journey 2012″ is in Indianapolis for the Big Ten Football Championship, and they’ll be capturing the action all day Saturday right through the game. But you”ll also want to check out the Instagram account run by the crew from “The Journey 2012″ this weekend, too. They’re posting some cool shots today. We’ve gathered a few in this post, but find the rest on Instagram.

The men’s portion of the two-day ACC-Big Ten Challenge is complete and the women’s team finish off their side of the event Thursday night (scoreboard here). Denzel Valentine scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Adreian Payne added 15 points and nine boards as they teamed up to lead No. 19 Michigan State to a 70-52 victory  over Oakland on Friday at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing. Michigan State (4-1) shot 52 percent from the field (26-of-50).

Andre Hollins scored 41 points to lift Minnesota to an 84-75 upset win over No. 17 Memphis on Friday at Imperial Arena at Atlantis Resort in Nassau in the Battle four Atlantis.

It was a busy day on the Big Ten men’s hardwood Tuesday, as six teams were in action. No. 19 Michigan State got a scare from Boise State but held on for a 74-70 win at the Breslin Center. Track all of tonight’s action, get live updates and watch in-game highlights in this post.

Maryland it is not, Rutgers is no slouch in the uniform department itself. To be fair, though, no Big Ten school can challenge Maryland when it comes to uniforms and helmets. The Scarlet Knights, outfitted by Nike, mix it up quite a bit – only in a tamer manner than Maryland.

Here’s a photo gallery from the Carrier Classic where Ohio State’s women’s team faced Notre Dame. Game 2 is Ohio State’s men facing Marquette. The games are being held on the highly decorated aircraft carrier USS Yorktown in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
