The Big Ten announced Tuesday its 2013 All-Big Ten teams and individual award winners. Big Ten champion Indiana was well represented, as it took home Pitcher of the Year (Aaron Slegers) and Coach of the Year (Tracy Smith). BTN made the exclusive announcement of the annual Big Ten basketball awards during the live “All-Conference Selection Show” on Monday night.

The 2012-13 All-Big Ten Men’s Basketball Teams will be released at 7 p.m. ET Monday on BTN/BTN2Go during the “All-Conference Selection Show” with Dave Revsine (@BTNDaveRevsine) and Jim Jackson (@BTNJimJackson). Interviews from select award winners will also be included during the 30-minute program.

The Big Ten released its All-Big Ten Women’s Basketball Teams on Monday. Back-to-back champ Penn State highlights the award winners, with Maggie Lucas winning the Coaches and Media’s Player of the Year and Coquese Washington claiming the Media’s Coach of the Year. We are halfway through the Big Ten season, and the conference hasn’t disappointed. All of that preseason hype about being the top conference has proven to be true, with Indiana and Michigan already haven taken turns sitting atop the national polls.

With every Big Ten team having played at least nine conference games, we’ve reached the midway point of the Big Ten season. It’s been a fantastic race thus far, with Indiana one game ahead of the pace, and it should only get better.

And just like that, it’s time for the Big Ten season to tip. It was a highly successful nonconference season, with the Big Ten owning the national polls. We have even more to look forward in the coming months, however, as many feel this could be one of the better conference races in recent history. The freshmen are the future, right? With that, it’s time to unveil BTN.com’s 2012 Big Ten All-Freshman Team.

The Big Ten Conference released the 2012 All-Big Ten Football Teams on Monday night during the “All-Conference Selection Show,” and the list also includes a number of position award winners. In addition to these awards, remember that “#BTNLive” will release the following winners at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday: Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year, Nagurski-Woodson Defensive Player of the Year, Thompson-Randle El Freshman of the Year, Hayes-Schembechler Coach of the Year (coaches vote) and Dave McClain Coach of the Year (media vote).

The 2012 All-Big Ten Football Teams were announced Monday night on BTN. Dave Revsine hosted the 60-minute special that included analysis from Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith and Chris Martin and interviews with several of the Big Ten’s individual award winners, including Wisconsin’s Montee Ball.

Fresh off its first Big Ten baseball crown in more than 100 years, Purdue won three of the conference’s four individual honors and had eight players earn All-Big Ten laurels, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
