With a nickname like “The Unicorn,” Mike Shawaryn has to be quite the talent. The Maryland starting pitcher is just that. Ask the hitters he’s aced, if you don’t believe it. Those hitters are batting .203 vs. the Maryland right-hander, and they’ve nearly struck out once per inning (.93 Ks per inning). His other 2016 stats look like this: 4-4, 3.33 ERA. The Minnesota football team held its first spring game under Tracy Claeys on Saturday afternoon at TCF Bank Stadium.
